Leah was introduced to yoga during her second pregnancy in 2003.  After a healthy childbirth and recovery, she developed a regular yoga practice.  Leah was blessed many times over to be able to study with a very talented yoga instructor, Aiyana Greeley for 2 years, before her passing in 2005.

Leah’s passion for yoga coupled with Aiyana’s encouragement led her to the Shambhava School of Yoga.  She studied at home, in Colorado at the Shoshoni Yoga Retreat and on the big island of Hawaii.  Leah received her, 200-Hour, Hatha Yoga Teacher Certification and began the journey of teaching.

On December 2, 2007 Leah opened the doors of Koa Yoga Studio in Kailua Hawaii.  She loves bringing yoga to people’s lives and takes pride in contributing to the community as much as possible; donating yoga classes to local schools and good causes.

When Leah is not teaching, you will usually find her with family, catching some waves, or maybe even in the yoga class right next to you!

Jennifer and Leah met in Lamaze class in 2002, while pregnant with their first babies.  Thatcher and Maizie surprised them by making their appearance on the same day and they've all been the best of friends ever since.  Even Jennifer's move back to the continental United States in 2005 didn't lessen the intensity of their friendship.  Thank God for cell phones and free minutes!!!

When the chance to work together presented itself they both jumped at the opportunity. Yoga...together...in Hawaii...what could be better???

Yoga will open your heart and set your spirit free.  You will find grace under pressure and untold strength within.  You will benefit from a simple asana practice or by going deeper with meditation and pranayama.  How far you go is up to you...

With knowledge, awareness, compassion, friendship and fun we wish to accompany you on this leg of your journey.  So come, join us, we look forward to practicing together in what we feel is the most beautiful place on earth!

Namaste,
Leah and Jennifer

Jennifer was introduced to yoga by Leah in 2006. She was looking to become physically fit after the birth of her third child.  Leah pleaded with her to "just try" a yoga DVD she herself had enjoyed during her last pregnancy.  Obliging her friend, Jennifer gave the DVD a try and her love of yoga was born.  Jennifer  thanks Leah in person, in her prayers and while writing in her gratitude journal for the gift of yoga.  Jennifer’s regular practice has been incredibly transforming mentally, physically and spiritually.

In February 2009, she began a teacher-training course at Sacred Art Yoga in Houston Texas with Becky Jordan and RayeLynn Rath, a certified Anusara Instructor, and both long time practitioners and students of yoga.  In June, Jennifer will graduate with her, 200-Hour, Hatha Yoga Teacher Certification and her passion to share yoga with others.

When Jennifer isn't practicing yoga she is running around or “hanging out” with her family.
